Put the wellbeing of people and nature first
At Greenpeace, we want to keep learning from the knowledge and lived experience of those communities, organisations and government initiatives – often marginalised and ignored – resisting the prevalent beliefs and assumptions that profit and infinite growth is the sole path to successful societies.
This map hosts the experiences already collected in our three-chapter publication called Growing the Alternatives: Societies for a Future Beyond GDP. However, we are aiming to find and map many more examples of alternative futures existing around the globe, so that we can share the cases and stories that sow the seeds of alternative futures.
